Job Description
Black Gold Insulation is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Insulator in Various locations of Alberta and Saskatchewan. The Insulator position is responsible for the collection of incoming waste and recyclables, the maintenance of the office, and the general cleaning of the facility. The Insulator will also be responsible for the collection of recyclables from outside areas.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit on feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to see, hear, talk, and understand English.
- Ability to talk to clients and measure up work
- Complete jobs with efficiency and quality
Responsibilities include: Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools, Apply and secure insulation using wire, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods, Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs, Install vapour barriers and Field measure and apply removable insulation pads and covers, Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, Conduct Daily toolbox meetings and vehicle inspections.
-Types of Insulation Systems- Process piping, Underground piping, Steam and condensate lines, Vessels and boilers, Compressors, Towers and heat exchangers.
-Own Tools/Equipment-
Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, glasses, gloves, hard hat
-Security and Safety-
Pre-hire Drug and Alcohol testing, Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check
-Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities-
Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Manual dexterity, Overtime required .

Related experience: 3 - 5 Years Experience. 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice, Insulator Red Seal Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Driver's License, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Insulator (heat and frost) Trade Certification, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate

Contract length: 6-12 months
Salary: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
