Restaurant Manager [South Africa]

Are you a passionate and experienced professional in the hospitality industry? Do you have a knack for creating exceptional dining experiences? We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team as a Restaurant Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including the kitchen, preparation, and service area.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and effectively, meeting or exceeding financial targets.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of servers, chefs, and support staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain customers, including promotional activities and special events.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food and beverage costs.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef to develop menus, specials, and innovative dining experiences.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as licensing and/or permit requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating successful leadership and management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage preparation, service, and sanitation standards.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and provide outstanding guest experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using restaurant management software and other relevant computer applications.
  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R20,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
