The Role
The APS 6 Work Health and Safety Officer will be accountable under broad direction to undertake complex work health and safety activities.
Key activities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and manage CASG Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) performance indicators, and report on performance.
- Identify and analyse relevant WHS data and information, prepare written and visual reports for committees and forums.
- Manage CASG incident interventions with Regulator (and analyse/follow up on recommendations)
- Assist in opportunity for safety outcome improvements from lessons learnt.
- Assist in the management of the CASG WHS Assurance program.

The Directorate of Health Safety Environment is responsible for the delivery of group work health and safety and environment governance, policy and processes; specialist advice and support; assurance; and continuous improvement projects.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team that has knowledge and demonstrated experience with Work Health & Safety. This position provides a broad opportunity for a WHS Officer to further their skills in extracting and analysing event data, identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities, develop written submissions for WHS Committees, and assist in the development of lessons learnt. Additionally, the position offers to provide experience with incident investigation, Regulator interactions and assurance activities.
